What programs do we offer?

Each year the programs that we are able to offer vary. Here is a list of programs that we run through our Community Family Services department.

  • Food Bank
  • Children’s Summer Adventure Camps
  • School Back packs for children (where available)
  • Christmas Assistance toy and food distribution
  • Christmas Kettle Volunteering (helping raise funds to run programs etc.)

We also are connected very well with other agencies within our community and are able to on occasion partner with them to benefit you. We may also be able to connect you with other agencies who have services that we are not able to provide.

Back packs for kids

This Year our back packs for kids will be only done through personal donations. If you would like to donate a backpack and/or supplies please drop them off at our church family services office located at 3080 Birchmount Road, Scarborough, Ontario

Clothing

We are able to partner with our National Recycling office and local Salvation Army Thrift stores based on Individual need. We DO NOT unfortunately accept any clothing donations at this location. Please contact our local Thrift store at 416-751-8050 to assist you in making clothing donations or call Toll Free 1-888-333-1229.

Agincourt Community and Family Services Food Bank

 

How can I receive food from the food bank?
Should you require assistance from our food bank you will need to make an appointment by either calling 416-497-7520 extension 271 (please leave a message if someone does not answer the phone when you call with your name and phone number and someone will return your call as soon as possible).

The Food Bank is located in our church at 3080 Birchmount Road, Scarborough, M1W 3K3.

The Food Bank is open Mondays from 1pm -3pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am -12pm & 1pm -3pm.  The Food Bank is also open on Wednesdays from 1pm – 3pm.

Remember: You must have an appointment & please bring your own bags!

What documents do I need to provide to qualify for assistance?
Please bring proof of Identification for each family member living at your location, proof of school attendance if over the age of 18 and not contributing to the household income, proof of ALL household monthly income, proof of rent/mortgage and proof of address.

What areas are serviced by Agincourt Community Church?
We are only able to provide assistance to you at this location if you live in an area covered by postal codes M1S, M1T, M1V & M1W.

If you live outside of these locations, please call our Headquarters at 416-321-2654 to find out which location is in your area.

Am I still able to use other food banks too?
Yes, you are able to use other Non-Salvation Army food banks in the area.

Please call 211 from your phone to access the city information line on services in your area.

What products will I receive?
Most of our donated products are non-perishable, canned fruits and vegetables, rice, pasta, cookies and cereal. We also are able to provide some frozen food products such as various meats, fruits and vegetables.  We are sometimes able to provide milk and eggs.
